Lobby shooter (though with ink instead of bullets)
Domination-style matches in Ranked Battles
Pub-like matches in Regular Battles
Losing 90% of the time because your team (4 players per team) either acts like a bunch of blueberries or one of them got disconnected.
Communication Errors causing players to disconnect quite a lot which is why you sometimes see a missing player in your team.
You are always running into players from different regions (in case, Japanese players).
Dust 514.

Disconnects are equally common like that in Splatoon.
You are always running into players from different regions (in this case, Latin American players).
The only reason Splatoon is so tolerable is because each match is time locked to 3 minutes whereas Dust often lasts 15-20 minutes per match.

Oh it does have lore behind it and a community.
I would know. I'm in their Splatoon Community on the Miiverse and I have no-lifed the single-player campaign to unlock all of the scrolls which give very interesting details about Judd and the Squid Sisters.

I never said it did not have lore. Every game has lore in one way or form.
Well, to be fair... the Dust community is not exactly the nicest place to be in.
